The intimacy of matter reveals itself through the delicacy of pastel. Fennels, apples, and crystal chalices are laid upon a weathered wooden cutting board, enveloped by a warmly hued drape. The artist's velvety stroke restores the softness of the vegetables, the transparency of the glass, and the natural engravings of the wooden surface.
In this dialogue between elements, the wood—a living, warm substance—contrasts with the sharp perfection of the crystal. The composition emanates the flavor of anticipation and sharing, capturing the sweetness of a table preparing to welcome life.
Close exploration
"Wood preserves the memory of those who have brushed against it. To pair it with the fragility of crystal is to tell the story of a perfect encounter."
