The Artwork

Finish Line.

A rusted metal pipe descends vertically, cutting the space in half. The underlying wall is a complex stratification of squared stone and crumbling lime. The lateral light carves the volumes and generates deep shadows between the stone blocks.

The oil color models the aridity of the plaster and the oxidation of the iron with extreme realism. The brushstrokes exalt the contrast between the regularity of the pipe and the organic irregularity of the wall. The eye follows fascinated the rough dance of the textures.

The artwork captures the austere beauty of forgotten corners. The canvas possesses a sculptural and monumental solidity. It is a silent tribute to the resistance of urban matter.

The artist's voice

"Rust on iron is a silent calendar. A peeling wall has the infinite patience of one who knows how to wait."
